Privacy and Security Policy
This page describes BizVibe's Privacy and Security Policy. The examples in this section illustrate specific scenarios where apps violate BizVibe's Content Policy and will be rejected by the BizVibe Appstore. These lists are not exhaustive, and examples may change as new scenarios emerge over time.

Important Notice: BizVibe reserves the final right to reject or prohibit any app.

User Data

As stated in the BizVibe Developer Services Agreement, if your app (or any third-party plugin or service provider used by the app) collects personal data from end users, the app must comply with the following requirements. Personal data includes personally identifiable information, financial and payment information, authentication credentials, contacts, phonebook, SMS/call-related data, microphone/camera sensor data, location data, and sensitive device/usage data.

  • Collect and use only data necessary to support and improve the app’s functionality and services (e.g., features described on the app detail page).

  • Display a legally adequate privacy policy within the app and on the app detail page. The privacy policy and any in-app disclosures must fully disclose:

    • What personal data the app collects,

    • How the data is used,

    • With whom the data is shared.

  • Obtain appropriate user consent for collecting, using, or sharing data, and use/share data only in ways consented to by the end user.

  • Ensure compliance with your privacy policy and all applicable laws (including COPPA; see Apps Targeting Children (COPPA) Policy) and privacy/data protection laws where applicable.

  • For data collection unexpected by users in supporting/app improving functionality:

    • Disclosures and consents must be more prominent (e.g., integrated into normal app flow, not hidden in menus/policies).

    • Disclosures must not be combined with unrelated content.

    • Explicit consent dialog with affirmative action (e.g., click; no navigation away/auto-expiring messages) must be shown before data collection begins.

  • Process personal data securely (e.g., transmit via HTTPS).

  • Before submitting an app collecting end-user personal data, provide a privacy policy displayed on the app’s product detail page.

Permissions

  • Request permissions only if needed for the app’s current functionality/services.

  • Data obtained via permissions must be used solely for disclosed/permitted purposes and only as allowed by our policies and applicable laws.

  • On supported devices (Android N, Fire OS 6+), request permissions contextually when needed by the app.

Fraud, Malicious Behavior & User Privacy

Your app must not engage in malicious/fraudulent acts or violate user privacy:

  • Do not abuse networks/devices (e.g., throttling user networks).

  • Do not reference/include malicious hacking (e.g., phishing, trojans) or cracking content (e.g., root access, circumventing DRM, illegal torrents, emulators, downloaders).

  • Do not claim antivirus functionality unless actually provided.

  • Financial institution apps must ensure robust user security and be submitted by or on behalf of the represented institution.

  • Do not misuse personal/sensitive information (e.g., transferring user data to third-party ad networks without consent).

  • Prohibit tracking/stalking features or covert data collection (e.g., spyware).

    • Exception: Apps providing clearly marketed tracking/reporting for home monitoring/business management may be allowed if they:

      • Display persistent notifications and unique app icons,

      • Do not mislead users,

      • Do not activate/link to non-compliant APKs.

Privacy and Security Violation Examples

The following are examples of apps violating BizVibe policies:

  1. Collecting user personal data without consent, using it in unconsented ways, or selling it to third parties.

  2. Accessing user contacts without service necessity.

  3. Accessing personal data to support unreleased features.

  4. Impersonating a specific bank’s official app.

Third-Party Programs

Developers providing apps on BizVibe devices may integrate external programs/services (e.g., third-party ad services). Within 30 days of BizVibe’s request, developers must disclose integrated third-party programs/services. BizVibe may require removal of such programs/services for privacy/security reasons. If requested, developers must comply within 6 months.
